Former Savannah State University standout and NFL legend, Shannon Sharpe, is set to enhance his presence on ESPN’s “First Take,” following a new multi-year deal with the network. Sharpe, a Pro Football Hall of Famer and three-time Super Bowl champion, has already made a significant impact on the popular morning debate show alongside Stephen A. Smith and host Molly Qerim.

Since joining First Take in August 2023, Sharpe has brought a fresh vigor and insightful analysis that has resonated with the audience. His unique chemistry with co-host Stephen A. Smith has been pivotal in driving the show to 22 consecutive months of year-over-year growth, including its most-watched May on record.

His collegiate football career was marked by stellar performances that earned him three consecutive All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selections and the SIAC Player of the Year title in 1987.
