HBCU Dreams Take Center Stage with HBCyoU Dolls
HBCU Family, get ready to be inspired!
Remember that spark you felt the first time you stepped onto your HBCU campus? The pride, the energy, the endless possibilities – it's a magic that stays with you forever.
Now, imagine capturing that magic and sharing it with the next generation, planting the seeds of dreams in tiny hands that hold an HBCyoU Doll.
This isn't just a toy, it's a movement. In 2020, our brilliant founder, Brooke Hart Jones (Hampton alum, Dallas native!), saw a gap in representation. Where were the dolls celebrating the vibrant legacy of HBCUs?
Not to be daunted, she crafted the first-ever HBCyoU Dolls herself, turning furloughed toy buyer into visionary entrepreneur. With her husband at her side, they built HBCyoU Dolls, a company with a mission bigger than playtime.
These dolls are ambassadors of HBCU pride. Walk down the aisles of Walmart, Target, Sam's Club, Macy's, CVS, or Amazon and there they are – Autumn, the spirited majorette, Nicole, the charismatic homecoming queen, and more.
Each doll, diverse in skin tones and hair textures, represents a different facet of HBCU life: STEM, business, leadership, and of course, that undeniable HBCU swagger.
HBCyoU Dolls aren't just playthings, they're storytellers. They whisper tales of the past, reminding us of the trailblazers who paved the way. They sing of the present, celebrating the vibrant tapestry of HBCU campuses today.
And they shout about the future, planting seeds of possibility in the hearts of every child who holds them.
This is "Sharing the magic of Historically Black Colleges and Universities," our slogan and our calling. Join us on this empowering journey, where every doll is a symbol of dreams, possibilities, and the rich legacy of HBCUs.
